Simple steps for the right lingerie…

Though, it is simple but not that simple to be obvious enough for everyone. When it comes to women, a lot of us choose the wrong lingerie due to one or the other misconception or reason. Here is a round up of few steps in order to choose the right lingerie, the right color, to enhance your body type and flatter your figure…

*Small or sagging breasts? Go for underwire lingerie which provides the right push and gives the illusion of cleavage.

*A fat stomach: Avoid lingerie or camisoles which are transparent. Avoid fabrics which tend to stick to the skin. Go for free flowing camisoles and opt for camisoles over two-pieces. You’d just look great.

*Heavy arms/shoulders? Go for camisoles with little sleeves. If you wanna go for a two-piece, wear one with thick straps. It works as a great technique.

* Heavy bottom: Avoid thongs or narrower bikinis which flaunt all you’ve got. Go for bikini pieces which have wider legs. shorts do wonders here. And definately shorts are sexy! :)

*Short height: Women with short heights usually feel they lack the waist. If so, rather than camisoles or one piece lingerie, go for two pieces which breaks the frame and provides you with a waist.

*The color: Now, the rule applies here as well. Just like you shop for clothes and look for the right colors to match your skin tone, lingerie shopping asks you the same. Just dont pick up a color coz you think it is in. Here women with dark tans are lucky, they can go for most of the colors including reds. Reds, blacks and whites are fine for fair women as well but you wouldn’t want to wear shimmering colors at all. Pale yellow skinned women should go for earthy browns, greens and colors close to their color.

As a basic rule remember to shop for lingerie every month or as often as you can. Build your collection and experiment with different looks. This would provide you a good clue of what suits you and what not.

Till next time, happy shopping…

Sneak peek into Azeem Khan’s Fashion show!

Azeem Khan showcased his collection at Taj Lands Ends, Mumbai. Ishaa Kopikkar was the celebrity-star who walked the ramp wearing a stunning bridal lehenga while others models catwalked wearing bright tones of red, yellow, orange.

The colors, however, may not appear to suit everyone’s eye but I personally liked the designs and the cuts.  Maybe, the designer should focus a little more on colors.

For the eco friendly chicks!

Nothing better then going green and still being stylish.

Sandmeiden- an eco friendly brand has come up with some of the chick designs in lingerie, lounge wear and sleepwear and trust me, there is no compromise on what we may call the x-factor. Played with colors, cuts and designs they are one brand to look forward to, if you love mother earth.

Another lingerie brand that I spotted is AAlingerie and what makes them special is that they carry enormous options for you, especially if you have a small bust size. Yeah! Isn’t that super cool :) . Also, they have got some of the fabulous pieces I’ve ever seen.

Keep it stylish!

Secret Curve lingerie finally launched in India

Where everyone is keener on Neha Dhupia’s presence for the launch of Secret Curve Lingerie, I would like to focus more on the brand here.

It is great to see well known lingerie brands entering Indian market. Judging by the sultry cuts, the frilly material, it seems the brand would do well as far as the high end market is concerned. Their website showcases some sensual sets which not only seem comfortable and even affordable.

Rest, let the pictures do the talking!

Do lemme know if you have any info on the rates of the brand. Till then, Keep it stylish!

Now, travel in style with bags for your lingerie

Where we all wanna travel in style, Bra(g) has been coming up with amusing yet creative line of bags. They had launched the panty pak, a handy travel kit designed specially to keep your panties in place. Having two pockets inside, the panty designed bag has pockets outside too.

Not only that, they have now launched the Buxom Bra(g) which is basically a specialized bag to hold your bras when and as you travel. Just like the bra’s these bags come in sized and are available till G cup. A little overpriced (starting from 27$), it is a good purchase especially if you are one of those who love their frilly, expensive lingerie shopping.

Happy traveling! Remember to keep it stylish!

Amrita Arora to play lingerie model

Arora

She has made to cover of many Indian magazines and even international for when she dresses well, she could be the talk of the town. Amrita Arora, the sister of bootilicious Malaika Khan would be playing a lingerie model in Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kambakth Ishq’.

If the movie would do wonders or not, that only time may foretell but hopefully there would be a good collection of stylish lingerie’s to watch out for.

Till then, keep it stylish!

Back from Haitus with Amit Mehra-the fashion photographer

After a Haitus, which was long (I’d even forgotten my password :( ) I am back… :)

Well, to start again I introduce you to Amit Mehra, the awesome fashion photographer, whom I found browsing casually! One of the few Indian photographers, he has shot a range of ad campaigns with various clients like Coke, Samsung, LG, Ford and DLF.

He was recently invited by the Government of Egypt to do a project on Egyptian culture and lifestyle as a book. Sounds superb indeed! His work has been published in Time, Fortune, Elle, Indian and Italian Elle Decor, India Today and many such top notch magazines.

You can check out his work here and personally, I loved his captures owing to the fact that they mix natural expressions and fashion beautifully. Lights have been used fantastically and well, here is my cheer for this Indian genius-way to go!

VS Lingerie Show 3!

Of all the pieces featured here  in the VS show, no doubts that only few had the wearability factor.

Most of the pieces were fun to walk the ramp in but at the same time not wearable. 13.jpg

Anyways, i guess one of the themes at Victoria this time was Animals and i actually loved the way animal queens walked the runway in those stylish lingerie outfits with animal prints.

At one point of time, it seemed that the show didn’t feature lingerie but dresses on the whole.
